Homemade Sticker Making Tutorial
This is a tutorial zine which will give you a step-by-step guide to making homemade stickers. You can either read the zine in the browser, download a readable version, or download a zine version to print out and distribute.
What is a zine? A zine is a little DIY booklet about anything you want! Oftentimes printed at home and distributed by hand, zines are a great way to receive and share art and information. They also make great gifts!
How do I fold a zine? If you google 'how to fold a zine', you'll get a variety of resources. If you scroll down on the Electric Zine Maker Itch.io page, there will be a tutorial on how to fold an 8-page zine (the kind of zine that this is!). This zine resource also has information on how to make/fold a zine.
I have created this zine for the Trick-or-Treatables Zine Jam, with the intention that it will be used to spread around a common sticker-making idea. The method is not my own - it's very easy to find if you search up how to make homemade stickers online. However, I figured turning it into a zine would introduce the idea to the zine community, and including it in a Halloween bundle could make it a spooky trend!
If you are interested in sharing art to the bundle/jam that can be used to make homemade stickers, that would be absolutely incredible! If you make art that you want to be turned into a sticker, let me know either in the comments or on Instagram (@manmadezines) and I will add a link to your work here.
It's not free, but my Mermaid Zine Bundle includes a picture of my original character Walrond which you can use to make a sticker if you'd like.
It is stated in the jam/bundle, but I will restate it here: this zine is for free distribution only. Do not resell this zine outside of the bundle.
